Okay everyone.
So... I am pretty much DONE with school. I just have one more class to finish and I will be done-zo. Miss Candy Anderson will be an official Licensed Massage Therapist.
Would you have guessed this is what I would have ended up doing?!? No, me neither.
People ask me all the time, "Why did you want to become Massage Therapist?"

So let me give you some background....
When we are little, some will ask us,
"Dear little Sally, what do you want to be when you grow up?!"
You might have replied some of these things: A doctor, a fire-fighter, judge, lawyer, policeman, nurse, chef, teacher.... etc.......
What would I reply?
What would I reply?
"A mom!"
Yes, call me a cheesy, dorky, nerdy, mormon girl... but it's true.
As I got older I became confused in school when they were talking about careers and "mom" wasn't an acceptable answer. But, as I got older I understood the importance of education.
Nobody expects divorce. But it happens. What if at some point I were married and something were to happen to my husband? How would I provide for my family?
I've always been interested in Massage. When I was in High school I looked up on websites how to massage people because my family would always come to me asking me to get a knot out here or massage their hand etc...
About a year ago it hit me. Why not a massage therapist? I could basically support (whenever or if ever the time comes) my husband while he goes to school off of my salary working at a spa. When I wanted to start a family I could start my own private practice. Hopefully, there could come a point where I could be a stay-at-home-mom but it would be nice to know that if times ever got tough I could start taking more client's... etc. If "Jimmy" has a baseball game... I just don't schedule an appointment.
That is why I decided to become a massage therapist. Because, it's a good career to have and be what I want more than anything in the world, a mom [someday]

I wanted to be a teacher and I became one! Crazy. Glad you are still alive and finally updated your blog. Update me on your life lil miss! Congrats on working so hard in school!

Hey girl! I wanted to be a mom too. But I also dreamt of being a nurse, a dr (an anesthesiologist, to be exact), a lawyer....all sorts of things. I have always been interested in massage though. And it is SO a good fit for moms! PS if I were rich, you could come be my nanny! I always need babysitters! And my girls are fun! You should come meet them sometime :)
good for you Candy! I admire your ambition for motherhood : ) When I was little I wanted to be a dolphin trainer, then a cowgirl. Today I still chase dolphins when I'm in the ocean and still dream of living on a ranch - some things never change!

You will be such an amazing mom. All I can ever remember telling people was that I wanted to be a relief society President. So yea....I guess those were my big plans. But other than that I had no idea.
I got on your blog to learn more about you - and this post gave me huge insight into the kind of person you are - it even gave me chills! =) I don't know you yet, but I admire you already!
i think you will be good as a mom
