The debate

So I'm dying here. My whole life I went without drinking soda. Then, when I started school I started drinking Dr. Pepper to stay awake... and I have become
A-D-D-I-C-T-E-D!

I went to the gym for the first time in a long time, and I have gained weight since I started drinking Dr. Pepper. Granted, I haven't gone to the gym as much. But I'm not loving this at all.

So, yesterday I tried Diet Dr. Pepper. I didn't like it as much but it wasn't bad. I've heard the debate of Diet vs. Regular and so now I'm wondering.... which one should I drink? I think Dr. Pepper tastes better, but is it making me gain weight??? WHAT DO I DO!?!?! HELP!!!

Utah Hair

We've all seen it.

We wondered who told them they looked good that day.

So, I'll admit, if a Utah hair were to ask me, I'd tell them they looked hot....

... but for my entertainment purposes only.

When I grow up

Okay everyone.

So... I am pretty much DONE with school. I just have one more class to finish and I will be done-zo. Miss Candy Anderson will be an official Licensed Massage Therapist.

Would you have guessed this is what I would have ended up doing?!? No, me neither.

People ask me all the time, "Why did you want to become Massage Therapist?"

So let me give you some background....

When we are little, some will ask us,

"Dear little Sally, what do you want to be when you grow up?!"

You might have replied some of these things: A doctor, a fire-fighter, judge, lawyer, policeman, nurse, chef, teacher.... etc.......

What would I reply?

"A mom!"

Yes, call me a cheesy, dorky, nerdy, mormon girl... but it's true.

As I got older I became confused in school when they were talking about careers and "mom" wasn't an acceptable answer. But, as I got older I understood the importance of education.

Nobody expects divorce. But it happens. What if at some point I were married and something were to happen to my husband? How would I provide for my family?

I've always been interested in Massage. When I was in High school I looked up on websites how to massage people because my family would always come to me asking me to get a knot out here or massage their hand etc...

About a year ago it hit me. Why not a massage therapist? I could basically support (whenever or if ever the time comes) my husband while he goes to school off of my salary working at a spa. When I wanted to start a family I could start my own private practice. Hopefully, there could come a point where I could be a stay-at-home-mom but it would be nice to know that if times ever got tough I could start taking more client's... etc. If "Jimmy" has a baseball game... I just don't schedule an appointment.

That is why I decided to become a massage therapist. Because, it's a good career to have and be what I want more than anything in the world, a mom [someday]

What did you want to be when you were little????

This song and me.

Sooooooooo..................................... um........

Yep, it's over. I do know that it is right and that it is supposed to be that way.
I just have faith.

But................. for now, I am going to be pathetic and feel sorry for myself.... ;-)

.........................and that means listening to cheesy Rascal Flatt songs!

Festival of Colors

Last week I had the chance to experience (for the first time) the "in" thing to do as a Student here in Provo, Utah--Attend the Festival of Colors.

If you don't know what this is, here is an article explaining a bit of what it's about.

Thousands chanting, flowing robes, and an ornate Hare Krishna temple. You might think you were in India or another country from the Far East. Utah Valley probably wouldn’t be the first place to come to mind.

But every year, the Sri Sri Radha Krishna temple in Spanish Fork celebrates the beginning of Spring with the Festival of Colors, or Holi, as it’s called by the Krishna devout.

The festival is open to everybody, and practicing Krishnas find themselves a small minority in the crowd. On Saturday thousands from the surrounding area, including BYU and UVU students, gathered to celebrate.

The big draw at Holi isn’t the bonfire or the band, but the multi-colored powders thrown over everyone at the festival. After the recitation of a traditional Krishna story, the effigy of a mythical witch is lit on fire, and an explosion of colors engulfs the crowd.

People attending Holi buy bags of the powder in pink, yellow, orange, blue, green, and almost any other color imaginable. When the time is right, nobody is safe from the colors getting in clothes, hair, and faces.

Here are some of my pictures me and my friends took.

Serenade

Here is a video of Jason singing to me. It makes me smile.

Jason is going to KILL me for putting this up because he always gets so embarrassed by this.

So, Jason. I'm sorry... (as he is currently staring at me with a bitter glare)

But I just wanted everyone to see how SWEET he is!!!

The Interview

HI!!! This is Jason, Candy was telling me that people had questions for me and I have never been much of a "blogger" but I would be happy to answer your questions:

#1)

Question:
Do his feet get sweaty in day to day activities? Are his socks damp by the end of the day?
Submitted by: Savannah Gardiner
Answer:
Ummm, well although I have never really measured the dampness of my socks, at the end of the day I am gonna say no on that one!

#2)
Question:
What do you like MOST about Candy?
Submitted by: Sierra
Answer:
Now, if it was, "What do you like about Candy?" That's easy. But, "What do I like MOST?" .... I would have to say that smile on her face right before she jumps into my arms!
My comments:
We have a long distance relationship and we take turns driving up to either Rexburg or Provo so when I see him for the "first time" there's always a huge smile on my face and I always run and JUMP into his arms.

#3)
Question:
What is Jason's favorite Disney movie?
Submitted by: Natalie Bennion
Answer:
Aladdin - hands down. Because it always gave me hope to know that a "street rat" like myself, could fall in love with a Princess and still have things work out in the end! Oh, and Jasmine is gorgeous.

#4)
Question:
How many children would he like to have?
Submitted by: Kirsten Kraeson
Answer:
As many as my wife is willing to let me have and as many as I can afford.

#5)
Question:
On a scale of 1 to 10, (1 being not at all, and 10 being extremely) how awkward did he feel when I hugged him after knowing him for 2 seconds? Tell him to think carefully. It's a tough one.
Submitted by: Cassie
Answer:
Two. It really wasn't that awkward at all! I hug people I have only known for a little bit too, so it's not a big deal to me!

#6)
Question:
What is his favorite sexual position?
Submitted by: Anonymous
Answer:
With my wife...!

Here are some more questions he has yet to answer, comment to add more to the list!

Q
uestion:
Is Candy a good kisser?

How does he treat his mother?
Submitted by: Rachel Hazen

Here is Mandy interviewing me about Jason:
